Name & Heritage

The name "Oyo" comes from a Native American word associated with the Ohio River region. Since 1926, the camp has served Scouts and youth groups from Ohio, Kentucky, and surrounding communities.

Camp Oyo Staff Association Inc. was formed by former camp staff and supporters to help maintain the camp's historic buildings and support alumni activities.
